Vauxhall Combo Modified Mail Van

Description

Final reductions made, now listed at final asking price. Any sensible buyer can see there’s a lot of van for your money here, so i cant get asking price i’ll just keep it and repurpose it to meet my needs.

2009 Vauxhall Combo 1.3cdti ex Royal Mail Van

When i picked up the van i started by completely gutting it, replacing carpets etc and having the interior flocked by ‘flocking great’ in Norfolk. The engine covers are flocked in the same insanely shimmery red that features on the inside.

The ply lining, sound deadening and insulating was all completed by Audio Boffins in Peterborough before the following componants were fitted into a fully custom installation..

Headunit: Pioneer SPH-DA360DABSpeakers:
– Tweeters: 2 x Hertz Dieci DT24
– Doors: 4 x 8″ DD VO-M8
– Bass: 8 x 12″ Pioneer TS-A300S4
– Rear: 2 x 6.5″ DD VO-MN6.5POWER
Bass 3500 WRMS
Mid & High 130 WRMS (x2) 120 WRMS (x2)Total Output 4000W RMSAmps:
– DD A2 180W x 2 / 370W x1
– DD A4 75W x 4 / 130W x 2
– Banda ICE 3502 1 x 3500W @ 2 ohms

It sounds fantastic and have had nothing but compliments on it at the last 6 months of shows its been at. It doesn’t currently have window winders as they dont fit with door pods however a universal electric conversion kit is available for less than £100.

Everyone wonders what the bicycle brake lever on the gear stick is, nothing fancy it’s just how i put the van in reverse. As standard it had a lift reverse and i needed a way to still be able to use that after i removed the original shifter.

On the outside the van is lowered on Corsa C coilovers at the front and at the rear are Astra H sports shocks with BMW E46 Lowering Springs and adjuster cups. Sitting on 15″ Porsche Teledial alloy wheels.

The van exterior was fully wrapped in Hexis vinyl by SG Auto tint in Soham with yellow vinyl for all the theme appropriate artwork.

All exterior plastics were removed and areas smoothed before wrapping with rear number plate being relocated and illuminated by Oxford Led motorcycle number plate lights.

I have a colour coded rear bumper and ready -to-paint/wrap bodykit and spoiler ready to go with the van too.

The van was lifted, thoroughly cleaned and treated with multiple layers of Lanoguard rust prevention treatment so its super clean underneath. Had no issues with MOT and i’ve kept up with its extensive servicing schedule supplied by RM

Points to note, the brake servo and BCM want resealing as its a common problem on Combo/Corsa c models that they occasionally let water drip into the footwells in heavy rain. intended to do myself but i’ve been non stop with shows so havent had the time but its just a case of removing the parts, cleaning out old sealant and reapplying your choice of silicone or sealant to make the it watertight again, if i get chance this will be done. Super cheap and easy fix if you have the time and energy.

All in all there’s a whole lot of van here. I dont NEED to sell it but with current health and financial issues it would be helpfull to. That being said i wont be letting it go stupidly cheap for the sake of it.

Theres still a lot of potential here to expand and improve ready for next years shows especially with the body kit etc. The van needs to go to someone who can appreciate the time, effort, thought and money that’s gone into creating it. I’d planned for more audio, games console, bodykit.. possibilities are endless for you to make this your own.
