Renault Clio RS 200


Selling my Clio RS 200  full fat after deciding I miss the sound (and running costs) of a turbo!

The car has just had an MOT, and sits at 97k miles.

Within the last 5,000 miles it has had:

  • Gearbox 3rd and 4th Synchro at Beaniesport
  • Gearbox Oil at Beaniesport
  • Clutch
  • Air Conditioning unit
  • 4 x Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Tyres
  • Rear discs and pads all round
  • Tracking
  • Oil and filter
  • Air filter
  • Pollen filter
  • Iridium Spark Plugs
  • Remap at Engine Dynamics. This was more of a health check and improving drivability, not so much for power gain. Printout included


  • Refurbed wheels in bronze with black centre caps
  • Rear dewipered
  • Rear tints
  • HEL braided lines
  • Powerflexed torque and lower gearbox mounts
  • Pure Motorsport sports cat & catback
  • Cooksport springs all round
  • Wheel spacers
  • Pioneer headunit with Bluetooth

Other major work that’s been done within last 10k miles includes:

  • Cambelt
  • Dephaser
  • Radiator support (common fault)
  • Front struts and wishbones

All the major common faults, mostly gearbox, have been recently done which removes the worry of facing a big bill in the future.

Bad bits

  • Front bumper has road rash and scratches, a previous owner has done a paint job themselves but could be better
  • Few MOT advisories, nothing too expensive but likely need doing before next MOT which isn’t for another 12 months
  • Tear in driver’s side seat
  • Fuse box has a rusty contact which was advised by Beaniesport to get refurbished but haven’t had the time.

Overall, it’s a great car. I’ve owned 25+ sports/performance cars and this is one of the best handling cars I have had.

In no rush to sell, so will hold onto it till the Summer if needed as likely worth more then (grippier roads!).
