I've owned and built this car because I genuinely love it, and over the last year in particular I have spent thousands maintaining, improving and modifying it. It was never built to be flipped or sold cheaply. It is a genuine facelift 3.0 CRD SRT Design with extensive mechanical work already completed, along with performance, suspension, exhaust and cosmetic upgrades. If you're simply looking for the cheapest 300C based on age and mileage, this probably isn't the car for you. MECHANICAL / MAINTENANCE • Swirl flaps removed and deleted • Oil cooler replaced at approximately 150,000 miles – only around 15,000 miles ago • New gaskets fitted • Plenum removed and thoroughly cleaned • New plenum gaskets • New exhaust gaskets • New turbo gaskets • Suspension arms upgraded/replaced • Springs replaced • Parking sensor ECU replaced • Electrical fuses replaced where required • New xenon headlight bulbs • Full service history A considerable amount of the expensive age-related work associated with these cars has therefore already been dealt with. The mileage should be considered alongside the amount of preventative and corrective work that has already been completed. PERFORMANCE • Stage 1 ECU remap • Gearbox remap • Sports catalytic converter • Full upgraded exhaust system • AMG-style quad exhaust tips • High-quality wheel spacers The exhaust system was professionally built by MIJ Exhaust and the car has also been featured by MIJ in their own marketing. It has considerably more presence and character than a standard CRD while remaining a very usable 3.0 diesel. EXTERIOR / BODY The photographs probably explain the car better than a specification list can. The original and increasingly uncommon 20-inch Chrysler SRT Design alloy wheels are also included with the sale. So the new owner gets both sets. REAR / EXHAUST The rear has been extensively changed with: • MIJ quad-exit exhaust • AMG-style quad tips • Rear diffuser treatment • Upgraded rear lights • Rear spoiler Combined with the spacers and 20-inch wheels, the rear of the car has a considerably wider and more aggressive appearance than a standard SRT Design. INTERIOR / EQUIPMENT • Heated seats • Electric seats • Electric folding mirrors • Touchscreen multimedia system • DVD player • Android Auto installed • Rear parking sensors I also have a selection of spare Chrysler parts which will be included with the car. 165,000 MILES Yes, it has covered 165,000 miles. I'm not hiding that and I'm not trying to compare it with a completely standard low-mileage example. What matters is what has been done to it. The oil cooler was replaced at approximately 150,000 miles, the plenum has been cleaned, gaskets replaced, swirl flaps deleted, exhaust and turbo gaskets replaced, suspension work completed, electrical issues addressed and thousands spent elsewhere. Most of this work has been completed because I intended to keep the car. I have spent thousands on it, excluding the cost of the current Fondmetal wheels. It has full service history and supporting paperwork for the work carried out. PRIVATE REGISTRATION The car is currently wearing **W23 MLS**. The private plate is **not included in the £6,495 asking price**, but it can stay with the car for an additional **£1,000**. WHY I'M ASKING MORE THAN A STANDARD 300C There are cheaper 300Cs available. There will also be cars with fewer miles. But finding another one with this combination of SRT Design specification, mechanical work, remaps, MIJ exhaust, Fondmetal wheels, original SRT wheels, exterior modifications and overall appearance is a very different proposition. This is an enthusiast-owned car and I'm looking for somebody who understands what they're buying. It gets attention virtually everywhere it goes. People stop me in car parks, petrol stations and even in traffic to ask about it, photograph it and talk about it. So one warning: If you don't like talking to strangers about your car, don't buy it. This is genuinely not an easy car for me to sell and I am not desperate to get rid of it. Serious enquiries are welcome.
